Update on my trip to Brazil!

My team and I will be leaving in two weeks for Brazil. I am so excited about this opportunity and can’t wait to get there and start working! We were able to talk to the missionary who will be hosting us and were able to hear about some of the projects we will be a part of during our time there. It was encouraging to hear about the awesome work we will be a part of for a week!

Leading up to this trip has been an amazing experience! We haven’t left yet and already I have learned so much about trusting God and allowing Him to lead the way! I have seen God really work in miraculous ways as far as financing our trip. I have two donations from people I don’t even know and people I do know have blessed me by giving! Thank you for supporting me financially! Every time I wondered if I would be able to make a deadline God showed me that He is in control! I only need a small amount to make it to my final deadline! And thank you for your prayers and encouragement! It is truly amazing to know that there are people behind me praying for me! There was also a problem with my visa but God worked everything out and I now have my visa ready to go!

My team and I have a huge prayer request for the workers in Porto Velho. We just found out that they are having a problem with flooding and are experiencing rains that have driven the levels of the Madeira River that runs past the mission center to the highest levels in recorded history!  This is creating a lot of extra work and hazards.  The river is still predicted to rise since the rainy season is not over. This flooding could also become a difficulty for my team as we are preparing to go down in two weeks. Please join us as we fervently pray for the missionaries there, for our plans, and that in everything God would prove his power and do something awesome!
