Update on my trip to Brazil!
My team
and I will be leaving in two weeks for Brazil. I am so excited about this
opportunity and can’t wait to get there and start working! We were able to talk
to the missionary who will be hosting us and were able to hear about some of
the projects we will be a part of during our time there. It was encouraging to
hear about the awesome work we will be a part of for a week!
Leading
up to this trip has been an amazing experience! We haven’t left yet and already
I have learned so much about trusting God and allowing Him to lead the way! I
have seen God really work in miraculous ways as far as financing our trip. I
have two donations from people I don’t even know and people I do know have
blessed me by giving! Thank you for supporting me financially! Every time I
wondered if I would be able to make a deadline God showed me that He is in
control! I only need a small amount to make it to my final deadline! And thank
you for your prayers and encouragement! It is truly amazing to know that there
are people behind me praying for me! There was also a problem with my visa but
God worked everything out and I now have my visa ready to go!
My team
and I have a huge prayer request for the workers in Porto Velho. We just found
out that they are having a problem with flooding and
are experiencing rains that have driven the levels of the Madeira River that
runs past the mission center to the highest levels in recorded history!
This is creating a lot of extra work and hazards. The river is still
predicted to rise since the rainy season is not over. This flooding
could also become a difficulty for my team as we are preparing to go down in
two weeks. Please join us as we fervently pray for the missionaries there, for
our plans, and that in everything God would prove his
power and do something awesome!

delivered me from my fears
On a very personal level,
In a brief moment of a slight breakdown I frantically reached for my Bible and opened to Psalms and began reading until I had calmed down. It only took me a few Psalms, but when I got to Psalm 34:4 God touched my life! This is what I read:
Psalm 34:4
I sought the Lord and He heard me,
And delivered me from all my fears.
He delivered and rescued me from my fears! All my fears! My fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of finances, fear of the unknown, God has rescued me from all of them! God is greater than our fear! When we cry out to Him in the midst of or fears, in our moments of weakness, He hears us and reaches down to pick us up. He delivers us from the darkness and holds us close in His hand. I love to imagine sitting in His mighty hand (John 10:29), that place of complete security and strength! If ever you are in a place where your fears are holding you down, seek the Lord and He will rescue and deliver you!

You have my heart...
God has everything in His hands, He is in control. He has a special purpose for each one of us, a purpose that He prepared before we were even born (Ephesians 2:10). He is the reason I am breathing and the reason I have life. I may not understand what God is doing in my life right now, but I do know that He is working in me to fulfill His purpose! All I can do is follow Him and seek to give Him glory.
My life is defined by God, not by who I know or where I have gone or what I am seeking to accomplish. Aviation may seem a huge part of my life, but compared to God it is nothing. Aviation does not define me, it is simply a
blessing God has given me. With or without aviation I am still the person He has created me to be! And no matter what, He will help me fulfill the purpose He has for my life. I am in His hands and He is forming me into who He wants me to be.
When we feel as if something has been taken away from us, instead of looking at the closed door we need to look to Him for direction. He knows what is best for us better than we do. Sometimes we just have to wait for Him to show us where He wants us to be.
I am here until He tells me He wants me somewhere else. And I need to be ready to go somewhere else if He calls me somewhere else. It is dying to myself and living to Christ. (Luke 9:23-24).
