Prayer Letter 2013

There is something exciting about hearing an airplane engine start up, turning the ignition and hearing it come to life. It makes me feel that I am ready to take off toward whatever destination God has planned for me. There may be diversions along the way due to bad weather, temporary flight restrictions (TFR), or engine failure, and I may need to land and re-fuel, but I will always be ready to take off again when He gives me my clearance.
It was after my first year of high school that I decided that I wanted to serve God on the mission field as a pilot and now I am finally heading toward that goal! Last October I was able to fly at the controls of an airplane for the first time! I flew with four others to visit the JARRS and Wycliffe home base in North Carolina!
I know that God has given me a passion for flying on the Mission field and has allowed me to go to Liberty University to earn a degree met some wonderful people, took great classes, and realized just how much I need to trust in God!
I can’t help but look ahead at what God has in store for me next year. This fall I will be starting my sophomore year at Liberty University. I will be a prayer leader for my hall, a part of the leadership for our school’s mission aviation group, and working on getting my private pilot certificate! It will be a busy year!
I’m writing this letter because I have begun my journey toward the mission field. As long as I can remember I have felt God calling me to the mission field and, although I may not be there for another six or eight years, it will be a challenging journey. So I am writing to you all, my friends and family, asking that you would support me with prayer and encouragement. I would love to keep in contact with you all and keep you updated on what is happening along the journey. Because of this I have decided to send out a prayer letter every year. If your not on my list and would like to be, please send me a message and let me know!
