A few things from my morning reading!

Adding to the number of believers
Acts 9:31b, "And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, they were multiplied." This verse is speaking of the churches throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria. If we want to grow, if we want others to believe, if we want our church to expand, its only by walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit that we can do that. We have to be in tune with God before we can add believers to our numbers. We need to get closer in our walk with the Lord and follow Him in a deeper relationship. It is only when we are close to God that we can draw others close to Him. It is only when we are walking in Him that we can be multiplied.

Who are we to be known by God?
Psalm 144:3, "Lord, what is man, that You take knowledge of him? Or the son of man, that You are mindful of him?" We are nothing compared with God, and yet He still cares about us and loves us. We are a passing shadow, a fading vapor, God is so much bigger and better than we are. He is forever, we are but a moment. But He desires to know us and to be mindful of us. He wants what is best for us and takes care of us. It is an amazing reminder of just how great God's love for us is! Praise His name!

God's greatness
A beautiful Psalm to end it off, Psalm 145. So many reasons to praise the Lord, we can't begin to fully understand all He has done for us! His greatness is unsearchable! Romans 11:33 also says, "Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!" He is great! He is marvelous and greatly deserving of praise! He is awesome and His works are past finding out! Read this psalm through, read it with your heart, praise the Lord through it! It is a song of God's majesty and love!
Psalm 145
I will extol You, my God, O King;
And I will bless Your name forever and ever.
Every day I will bless You,
And I will praise Your name forever and ever.
Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
And His greatness is unsearchable.
One generation shall praise Your works to another,
And shall declare Your mighty acts.
I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty,
And on Your wondrous works.
Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts,
And I will declare Your greatness.
They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness,
And shall sing of Your righteousness.
The Lord is gracious and full of compassion,
Slow to anger and great in mercy.
The Lord is good to all,
And His tender mercies are over all His works.
10 All Your works shall praise You, O Lord,
And Your saints shall bless You.
11 They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom,
And talk of Your power,
12 To make known to the sons of men His mighty acts,
And the glorious majesty of His kingdom.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
And Your dominion endures throughout all generations.
14 The Lord upholds all who fall,
And raises up all who are bowed down.
15 The eyes of all look expectantly to You,
And You give them their food in due season.
16 You open Your hand
And satisfy the desire of every living thing.
17 The Lord is righteous in all His ways,
Gracious in all His works.
18 The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He also will hear their cry and save them.
20 The Lord preserves all who love Him,
But all the wicked He will destroy.
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord,
And all flesh shall bless His holy name
Forever and ever.
